Barmouth, a seaside destination in North Wales with landscapes that will impress you. Sea, mountains, sand and country, it really does have it all.
Located on the western edge of Snowdonia National Park, it is the perfect location if you wish to base yourself in a relaxing seafront location and head into the mountains of Snowdonia for a walk. If you’re not a keen walker, we highly recommend taking a drive into the mountains to take in the breathtaking scenery on your drive. Why not take a picnic with you and stop for a while.
There is an abundance of accommodation styles in Barmouth to suit all tastes. Whether you’re a keen camper, enjoy the comforts of a caravan, you might be looking for a quirky glamping experience, or simply prefer the more traditional hotel. There is plenty of choice no matter what your taste is.
There is so much to see and do whilst visiting Barmouth, we highly recommend enjoying a walk over Barmouth Bridge which takes you over the estuary. With its impressive timber-built structure, it is still in use today by both train, cyclists and pedestrians and well worth the walk. Make sure you have some change on you for the honesty box along the way! Enjoy an amble about Barmouth with its shops, cafes and restaurants. Take a moment to watch the boats in the harbour, or head to the beach for the miles of golden sand. Whilst at the beach you will find plenty to entertain the family too, with donkey rides, trampolines and an amusement arcade for a bit of fun!
